Before you know it, your baby is starting to move. From a commando crawl to actual crawling to walking – each stage poses new adventures at different levels. You suddenly find yourself padding the walls and taping Scotch Brite sponges to the corners of your coffee table. Our little one has new adventures everyday in our home everyday. Hazards are everywhere and we are honestly wish we could dress him in elbow and knee guards and a helmet. If only.
Here are a few things safety products to consider for your home:
-Effective for cupboards with knobs or handles because just like Narnia, there are adventures behind each door
2. Rex Rubber Safety Lock
– I would not recommend this. The rubber still allows your child to open a cupboard enough to sneak their fingers in between.
3. Lock and Release Fridge Latch by Safety 1st
– Not only effective on fridges but on drawers too
5. Playpens or play yards
6. Safety Gates
There are a good range of safety locks and latches in Toys ‘R’ Us (they carry their in-house brand as well as Safety 1st), and Daiso. You may need to purchase a few different types to try out before you find the right one. Ask your store if they allow returns and don’t forget to keep the receipt. Good luck child proofing your house to keep your little one(s) safe.
