I’ve started my son on porridge. He used to have vegetable or fruit puree with cereal but has now graduated to having porridge with veggies and grains.
I was not very sure as to whether he would like having porridge and was indeed surprised when he finished the whole bowl! Here’s the ingredients for his porridge this week, all prepared in my Panasonic rice cooker and blended before serving:
- 1/4 cup of brown and white rice (mixed)
- A handful of barley
- 1/2 cup of sliced zucchini
- 1-2 organic carrots cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup of sweet potato
He still has the occasional fruit puree which mainly consists of pear, banana, grapes or prunes.
