If you were like me, your head would be spinning just reading about bottle feeding. There are so many options out there; straight neck or angled, anti colic, and teats that mimic the mother’s nipple, etc.
Here’s what happened with us:
- For starters, I am not sure why we only picked two brands, Philips Avent and MAM, but I think part of it depended on reviews from other moms.
- What worked for them does not necessarily work for you. We started using the MAM bottles and switched to Philips Avent.
- Why? We found the flow on the MAM bottles a little too fast for our little one, and during the hours where the little one was screaming to be fed, we made mistakes by pouring the EBM without adapting the anti colic valve. It really gets you crying over spilt milk.
- It is also easier to read the volume on the Avent bottles.
